A short film for Chai Preschool

Yossi and Esty Marcus of our local Chabad asked me to make a film for their Chai Preschool. This wonderful little organization has very high standards, a long waiting list and a wonderful environment. It wasn’t difficult to find beauty and inspiration to assemble this little film.

Welcome, Brawer!

My oldest and bestest friend Gary Brawer is now publishing a blog! Gary’s an amazing artiste with a stringed instrument (although, as he points out, you can take your mountain dulcimers elsewhere). And he was my best man at our wedding o those many years ago.

Here he is on one of my kids’s many trips to San Francisco to get their guitars and basses tuned up. This particular trip was just before Sam played in a battle of the bands at Slim’s around the corner.

Check out Gary’s blog at http://brawerguitarrepair.blogspot.com.

This picture says a lot to me.

I wish Cindy and her campaign well. They are an impassioned group and they truly believe in their mission.

It was wonderful to celebrate with them, especially because Doreen, Max and Sam were able to attend, as well.

Mazel tov, Adam!

Our good friend Adam celebrated his bar mitzvah a couple weeks ago, and it was quite a soirée! Bambi and Stan planned to surprised the attendees (and Adam, too!) with a special visit from the Golden State Warriors’ mascot, Thunder, along with a couple of the Warrior Girls. But despite all the amazing planning that went into his big day, it was almost all for naught when a huge storm wiped out the electricity at the original venue. Stan called in some markers and managed to secure a local restaurant and made all the necessary phone calls. It all worked amazingly well, and it was a true night to remember for all in attendance.
