Many of my bar and bat mitzvah families enlist my assistance in making a tribute slideshow for their kids’ receptions. This is a really fun project for me as it gives me the opportunity to get to know the family’s history. The tools that I use for these fun little movies (Final Cut Pro, Aperture, Photoshop CS3) are far better than the tools most people have at home to do these things, so while it costs a little money to have me do it, it’s generally easier for me to do it, and the results are always appreciated.
Here Daniel and his parents have arrived early to his big party and are being given a sneak preview. As you can see from their faces, the results seem to be quite acceptable!
