The technical challenges I give myself at times are quite large. One of my favorite things to do is to photograph kids watching their own bar/bat mitzvah tribute video slideshows. I’ve seen many obnoxious photographers trying to take these photos with a flash, which of course ruins many people’s viewing of these very special presentations. I always have my 50mm f1.4 lens with me, and when mounted on my 1DMarkII bodies, I can take a photo like this at ISO 1600 at about 1/20 second. It’s a wonderful effect, and I am completely invisible to the people watching the show.
